Sligo (pronounced SLY-go) Creek Farm is a certified organic grower in central Maryland. It is unique among small farms in that its growers live in close-in suburbs of Washington, DC, while the farm is located in the nearby semi-rural area of Olney, MD. 2010 is Sligo Creek Farm’s third year and is now a partnership of two growers: John Brill and Marc Grossman. It is our hope to inspire others to start small farms locally, regionally, and beyond, and to be more earth-friendly in their daily lives.

The mission of Sligo Creek Farm is to grow and sell - in an environmentally sustainable manner - a great variety of nutritious, tasty, locally-grown produce for people of all backgrounds and income levels. Sligo Creek Farm grows certified organic standard and specialty crops, and is committed to playing a role in improving the health of the Chesapeake Bay and the environment by using certified organic farming practices. Sligo Creek Farm is also committed to making their produce available to communities with low and moderate incomes by selling at affordable prices and convenient locations, offering several sliding-scale CSA memberships, and by donating produce to local charities.
